New collar!

So my new, self-imposed, daily ritual of reviewing the summary of my slave petition has been very helpful in keeping me mindful.

I am proud to say that I have not, yet, missed a single day of reading it. I have a reminder in both my primary email inbox and on the homepage of my smartphone - both places I look at several times a day making it easy to remember to do it.  It's quick enough, maybe takes 1 minute. And in that single minute, I am instantly reminded of my place - of all that I have and all that my Owner provides to me every single day... and of what I have to offer in return.

My timing for implementing (all on my own!) this new ritual couldn't be better.

My holiday gifts from my Owner are a night away at a hotel.... for some much needed D/s reconnecting time. And, as She surprised me with on Friday night, a new collar of the 24/7 variety.

The physical, worn, representation of my collar has been constantly evolving. Initially, She offered it to me as a silver anklet. But it was too small for my ankle... and too large for a bracelet. So She had it sized down to a bracelet. It was a figaro style, fairly delicate. And over time and wear and tear it started breaking. Syr replaced it with a sturdier silver bracelet and that is the one I have worn long-term. However, I am highly sensitive to nickel. Usually sterling silver is relatively safe, but if I wear something around the clock I develop a sensitivity over time to it. My wrist started reacting so I'd switch wrists. Then that wrist would react and I'd switch back. Then I'd need to take it off entirely for a period of time and switch to a leather bracelet but the clasp on that started to irritate too.

My metal allergies have been a point of frustration, for sure. So this year, for Christmas, Syr was going to replace it with gold and instructed me to do some pricing research so we could go shop boxing day sales. That's when we both realized that a necklace was also an option! We'd just never gone the necklace route because of how it evolved (originally from an anklet).

So, the research began. Aware of the sort of budget we were looking at, I was quickly dismayed to find what we could afford for either a gold necklace or bracelet. And then I was just looking at our wedding rings - made of titanium - a hypoallergenic metal that's never given me trouble - and so I asked Syr if we should consider foregoing gold and looking at titanium instead? The price point was well within my Owner's budget versus the gold which would have been a big budget stretch and probably cause a larger financial stress than Syr would have been prepared for. I KNOW the metal won't cause me any problems, and titanium is both incredibly strong and lightweight so ideal for daily wear. She loved the idea!!

Within an hour after that, we had a necklace picked out and ordered. A simple rope style chain. 100% titanium. And the right length to sit right around my collarbones. Perfect.

I should get it in a couple of weeks... and, if all goes well, BEFORE our trip to the hotel which is booked for the weekend of January 19th. Timely, right?

I'm so excited to be getting a new collar, one that won't cause me any skin issues so that I don't have to take breaks from wearing it!! :-)

And... I'm REALLY looking forward to that weekend away as well. I'm long overdue for a good old fashioned beating. *wink*

P.S. Happy New Year! 2013 is going to be awesome.

Bad girl blogger

I will be the first to admit that I am a very bad girl when it comes to blogging! I was on a roll of consistency with my 3 Sentences Tumblr posts that Syr assigned me and then I got distracted (I'm a natural-borne scatterbrain) and the consistency fell by the wayside.

Syr's gone very easy on me where this is concerned for multiple reasons, not the least of which is the fact that I get a little bit anxious and angsty and unsettled and just generally 'off' around the holidays which means starting around mid-November all the way until after New Years. Let's just say that the holidays from my childhood involved a great deal of anxiety and stress and shades of that still colour my behaviour around this time of year. I'm blessed to have an Owner who not only recognizes and 'gets' this, but who seems to know exactly what I need during those times. Sometimes, I need to be pushed really hard to be responsible and aware of my behaviour. Sometimes, I need a gentle hand and to be held and allowed to cry and be messed up. Sometimes, I need to be guided gently to think about what's going on around me and sometimes, I just need a 'break' from thinking about it. She seems to always know what is needed and when and I feel very supported, but I also feel badly when I let things like this fall by the wayside because I'm too preoccupied with my own stuff.

So, to catch up. More and more, I find that even in our 'off' times, the D/s remains a consistent undercurrent to all our activities. This has been very apparent as Syr is recovering from a repetitive motion injury which has made things (like sex!) difficult. I am surviving, of course, but a little needier than usual as a result of the, necessary, break from more rigorous activities. I'd be lying if I didn't say that this bit of a necessary dry spell wasn't making me just a wee bit cranky at times, but I would not want Her to hurt Herself just to keep me feeling well tended to... and I'd be a pretty piss-poor wife, let alone slave, if I couldn't be understanding and do my best to care for her and reassure her that all is well - and well... it is! She is healing, slowly, and I do not feel we have suffered any loss of intimacy. Syr and I have that intimacy thing down pat! We talk and touch and snuggle and kiss and stuff all the time.... which makes the rest easy. She's certainly enjoyed a bit of the torture factor though. lol.

But, that brings me to the super exciting and awesome Christmas gift, She got me. Christmas Eve as we were getting ready for bed, She had me kneel and put my sleeping collar on - like usual. She asked me who owned me, and I replied that She did.... and then She had me close my eyes. When She had me open them again, She was holding a present for me!! I opened it up, pretty nervous, and found a catalog to our favourite (adult) toy store! But inside, was a gift certificate. OoOooOOoooo I get to pick out a new cock! WOO!

And then there was.... ANOTHER present... this one was softer. I opened it up and it was a brand new THIGH HARNESS. *fans self* Omg, the hotness. I LOVE LOVE LOVE the idea of a thigh harness. There's something really hot about it, to me. Syr one night made a makeshift thigh harness by being creative with Her existing harness and we had a lot of fun with it. This was a super thoughtful gift because She'd remembered how badly I wanted one for Her to use even though I'd forgotten. :-) The only downside was that we discovered that it didn't accomodate Goldy the giant supercock She usually uses on me. It did accommodate a smaller cock we already own. The fun will be picking out a new cock that will work in either harness/for either purpose and be super fun.

I can't wait to go shopping!

Holidays with Daddy

This was an amazing holiday with my Daddy!

For presents, i got my Daddy a new dremel-style tool, a Happy Bunny calendar, an LED flashlight multi-tool thingie, and a Bread Machine which was Her big gift.... oh yes and a Costco-sized package of yeast for bread-making so She could start right away. *grins*

Daddy got me the Onyx booster deck for my Killer Bunnies and the Quest for the Magic Carrot game,  Animal Crossing City Folk for the Wii, an Idog Amp'd, and most special of all: a new bracelet-collar to wear.  My last one broke several months ago and I had been missing this physical reminder of Her ownership.

It feels good to finger it, touch it, look at it, feel the weight of it on my wrist, like a security blanket.  Maybe that's silly, it is - after all - just an object and does not make or break my status as Her owned little girl and slave.   But that's ok.  I love to love it. :)
